Structure of stomach

Serous Coat:
It is derived from peritonieum.

Muscular coat:
It consists of three layers:
*outer longitudinal
*middle circular
*inner oblique

Submucous coat:
It consists of loose areolar tissue and contains plexues of blood vessels, lymphatics, nerve

Mucous membrane:
it consists of three layers within outwards of
*surface epithelium
*lamina propria
*muscularis mucosae

💊Surface epithelium of stomach is simple columnar epithelium.

💊Lamina propria:
It consists of retiform tissue and contains plexuses of vessels, nerve and various types of gastric gland.

Gastric glands are three types:
**cardiac
**fundic and body gland
**pyloric glands

💊Cardiac gland secrete mucous
💊Fundic and body glands has three types of cell:
Zymogenic or chief cells
oxyntic cell
mucous neck cell

Artery Supply of Stomach:
*left gastric artery
*Right gastric artery
*Short gastric artery
*left gastro-epiploic artery
*Right gastro-epiploic artery
*posterior gastric artery
